Traditionally gardeners will tell you that September is the month to plant daffodils bulbs but from my experience you can plant anytime from September through to January. As long as the soil is not frozen you can plant.
Plant the bulbs twice the depth of the bulbs with the pointy end facing up. Displays looks best when bulbs are planted in groups of 3, 6, 9, 12 etc.
Never tie the leaves together after flowering. If you want to make the border look cleaner loosely use garden twin to bring the leaves together but don’t tie them together. Leave the foliage to die back into the bulbs, this will set you up for another good flowering in the following years.
